Just Love!

“From what I understand love is contagious, when you treat one person with love it brings about a subtle light around you and them as well. It becomes a shared feeling, a feeling of love and blissfulness and it can be so substantial that people can tap into it…”

Just love was written by Alec Hassan. Alec is passionate about writing and you can follow him on twitter @Alec_Hassan.

At some point in time I almost concluded that God was delaying answering my prayers because I had been praying and fasting for this one thing and all efforts were in vain. I would say “God is delaying” but was he really delaying?

For a fact you can say I wasn’t patient enough because God’s timing is the best and maybe I wasn’t listening to what he was saying. To wait, wait for the right moment. But then it dawned on me, what if I was the one delaying God’s blessing on my life. What if He has already answered my prayers.

Most people would say I pray and fast all the time, I give back to community, I preach the gospel and participate in religious gatherings, events etc but I want you to think of how you feel towards those around you and treat them for example relatives, your next door neighbor, classmates, co workers etc

We tend to think that being loud in our giving, praying and fasting only makes God answer our prayers but what if the key to your answer is on how you feel towards those close to you and treat everyone else. I believe that love only invites love and where there is love there is God. Likewise hate only invites hate and where there is hate God leaves. And when God is not in it, blessings delay.

“Don’t forget to spread Love and Peace,” I always tell myself this every morning. A reminder that i should do good and put others first and love them to the best of my ability. Being there for them, helping in whatever way i can, making them smile and laugh.

From what I understand love is contagious, when you treat one person with love it brings about a subtle light around you and them as well. It becomes a shared feeling, a feeling of love and blissfulness and it can be so substantial that people can tap into it spreading love to whoever you come across with. It causes a chain reaction of people feeling loved and blissful. It might not change the whole world but you’ve managed to spread love which can impact someone’s life in many positive ways. And that alone can open your heart and welcome the Holy Spirit. Because to love your neighbor is to love God!

The moment we start loving, the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit resides in us and prayers get answered and everything smoothly goes our way.

So ask yourself “Am I Spreading Love Or Hate?”
