Hello π
I have a question….
Have you ever gone into town or to a certain place X with one goal in mind, which is to get to where you are supposed to go in the shortest possible time such that you won’t be paying attention to much. Then just as you’re walking, someone compliments you, or the way you are dressed or your hair – Let’s just say you receive a compliment…
Your reaction will probably be something like this:
‘…wait, what! π who? me? π€π Are you talking to ME!’ (This will all be happening in your mind by the way π) … then in that moment you’ll just say a ‘Thank you’ and maybe add a smile too then continue walking.
You’ll then try to shake off the feeling that comes as a result of the compliment but it brings with it a rush of confidence that wells up within you…probably causing you to smile…its amazing, right? π€
Every shop window becomes your mirror as you pass and glance to admire your beautiful good looking self ππ in the “mirror” choosing to ignore the possibility that the person inside the shop might be looking at you π π…
Its quite interesting right? π€π
Ladies and gentlemen; that there is the power of compliments at work!
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
Leo F. Buscaglia
So the next time you think of withholding a compliment from a person who you think deserves it…think twice because you just might be making their day π€
“You’re beautful. Yes you are, you’re very very beautiful. Extremely beautiful.”
Orson Welles
Goodbye for now…
